This week Nika competed in Banja Luka (15.000 USD). She was scheduled to play first round in Wednesday but because of the bad weather the organization rescheduled the match for Thursday. In first and tough match Nika defeated the first seeded player of the tournament Despina Papamichail (WTA 474) from Greece, with result 4-6 7-6(2) 6-2. Greek had at the score 6-4 5-4 two match points in row, which Nika saved and turned the match in her advance. The match lasted 2 hours 35 minutes.
After the win and few hours of rest Nika had to step on the court again. In the second round she played against 19 years old Romanian Oana Gavrila, who last week won the tournament In Heraklion with the same prize money. Second, very long and tough match lasted 3 hours 19 minutes. After Nika saved one match point in third set tiebreak, she tok her third chance and won the match 7-5 5-7 7-6(8). Together they played 256 points, but at the end Nika was better for 12 points.
In the next day’s quarterfinal Nika was playing with 19 years old Serbian Draginja Vukovic (WTA 824). After Serbian was winning 6-4 3-0, Nika had to retire because of sickness and exhaustion.
